Is The U.S. Federal Reserve Really A Scam

    Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Well at least when you listen to this guy you would think it is.  Regardless, the U.S. is quite a mess right now.  If the U.S. government were a publicly traded company, every single congress person or senator would be in jail.

I made a post earlier with a great alternative to the bailout, give it a read.  Regardless this is a pretty good video that will show you why the Federal Reserve is a scam, and why the U.S. debt will keep digging itself further and further in to debt.

    Enjoy…..

The Bailout - Republicans & Democrats are Idiots but Birk is a Genius

    Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

So all I have been hearing about over the last few days is this idiotic bailout plan for a few companies that made bad business decisions based on greed over the past few years.  To be honest I think all republicans and democrats are idiots and really have no clue what to do.  These people fly in private jets and have multiple homes and servants.  None of them are even in touch with the reality of being a regular person in America.

Anyhow I came across this plan written by T.J. Birkenmeier called “Birk Economics” that would award a We Deserve It Dividend.  It sounds perfect to me, enjoy.

    Hi Pals,

I’m against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. Instead, I’m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend. To make the math simple, let’s assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.  Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00.  My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend. Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%. Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.  But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

    • Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.
    • Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads.
    • Put away money for college - it’ll be there.
    • Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
    • Buy a new car - create jobs.
    • Invest in the market - capital drives growth.
    • Pay for your parent’s medical insurance - health care improves.
    • Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else.

Remember this is for every adult U.S. Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces. If we’re going to re-distribute wealth let’s really do it…instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( ‘vote buy’ ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President! If we’re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let’s bail out every adult U.S. Citizen 18+!

As for AIG - liquidate it and sell off its parts. Let American General go back to being American General, sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here’s my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn’t. Sure it’s a crazy idea that can “never work”. But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party! How do you spell Economic Boom? I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion. The We Deserve It Dividend is deserved more by the U.S. citizens than the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC. And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh…I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

    Kindest personal regards,
    Birk

Off to CAP Euro Barcelona - A Few Tips For A.M.’s & Affiliates

    Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

Well it’s that time of year again where I get to disembark to the wonderful city of Barcelona, Spain.  This year’s CAP Euro is supposed to be absolutely massive so it should be a great show.  Kudos to the CAP team and especially Alex Pratt and his team for putting on what I know will be an awesome event.  It amazes me that these guys can continually outdo themselves show after show.

As always I am looking forward to catching up with my affiliate friends, operators, and affiliate managers.  When you sit behind a computer monitor all week, and 90% of your daily conversations take place on messenger, nothing is better than networking and having face to face meetings.
This will be Joe’s first CAP show, so him and I will be meeting with many of the operators together.  As always my goals when I attend these shows is to meet with as many individuals as possible, close business, and strengthen relationships.

As one of the old timers in this industry, THE most important things I have learned about our great industry is that it is one that truly revolves around relationships.  The successful people in igaming (whether affiliates, affiliate managers, or operators) are the ones that have weathered the various storms, and maintained solid relationships throughout their tenure in the business.

Often times I get asked the question by new affiliates or affiliate managers what the secret to success is in the poker affiliate industry.  And again the answer is always relationships.  If you’re a new affiliate going to this show, do yourself a favor and latch on to some of the baller or veteran affiliates while here.  It’s amazing how much you can learn by hanging out with successful affiliates.  It’s even more amazing what surrounding yourself with this circle of friends will do for you in the years to come.

For new affiliate managers, collect as many cards as you can, and don’t worry about “closing the deal” over coffee in a busy expo hall.  Instead focus on building your personal brand and forging the beginning of great relationships that will last for years to come.

As an affiliate, for the A.M.’s that have these types of relationships with me, it is always an easy sell for them when they want me to promote something new.

All in all, it should be a great show.  I actually brought a camera this time, so there is about a 8.5% chance I will take pictures and post them here or on facebook.  Unfortunately there is a 90% chance that I will lose either my camera, blackberry, laptop, rolex, or various items of clothing.  Hasta La Vista Bitches!

    It’s The Internet, I Drive Traffic, That’s Just What I Do……

    Thursday, September 18th, 2008

So about a month ago I put up a post tiltled “If Celebrities Were From The Midwest, Here Is What They Would Look Like“.  To be honest, the whole reason I did this post was for link bait and to do a little experiment with social media.  I am pleased once again to report back that I did accomplish my goal of driving massive traffic.

Although my google issues have still not been resolved, I have ironically received more unique traffic this month on the site than any other time in history.  It all started when this post about celebrities brought me 10k+ unique visitors from stumbleupon alone.  Then just this week it also got posted on the homepage of reddit.com.  From there it ended up getting posted to sites like jimmyr and Totalfark, as well as a list of forums and blogs.  This afternoon it also got posted on theonion.com’s entertainment section known as The AV Club which drove an absolute shit load of traffic.  The post was also mentioned on a popular  USA Today Blog.

So with that I consider my linkbait and social marketing experiment a success.  That post has had thousands of views and 34 comments and growing so far….  But as most of you know, I make minimal money on this blog (actually $0 last month).  The point I wanted to make though is that VIRAL MARKETING WORKS.  Creating good link bait and getting it circulated around the internet is really not that difficult if you can be creative.

But here’s the funny thing, I made a post with pics I pulled out of a viral email from a buddy, and then made a simple post with the obvious attempt to drive traffic.

Obviously it worked, but it amazes me that so many people arrive at this post and are literally furious.  Here is a copy of an email I got today.

After reading you blast about people who live in the Midwest I decided to check out YOUR about Jeremy page. Funny the link you provide about your 3 people does not work. Funny you poke fun at people here in the Midwest but than the link showing pictures of your “people” does not work….so typical. BTW nice “glamor” shot of you but you walk around all day long with that look.

Enjoy today as you will one day get older and “gasp” fatter yourself. BTW I am not fat and I work out everyday…care to visit and go through a workout routine with me? Oh last but not least I am 51.

I mean, are people surfing the net really this stupid.  Can you really get that offended to send someone an email from a site you just arrived at from clicking a link.  I have to laugh.

Anyhow, I had to share.  If any of you are women reading this and you really want to be offended, read either why you suck in bed or  your valentines present, or even any of these two articles .  Some of these will make this post look magnificent.  I make jokes, I love life, I have fun every day, my wife loves me……..Stop taking the internet so seriously.

And always remember,  “You can put lipstick on a pig, but……it’s still a pig”
