Jeremy Enke PictureI suppose an “About Me” page is where you would expect to read a third person professional write up on myself. Hmmm…. well that’s not really my style, so I’ll just go ahead and tell you “about me” in my own words. Read more...

  • Being An Entrepreneur - It’s just in the Enke blood!

July 21st, 2008 by Jeremy Enke

When I was a kid I wanted to make my own money from as early on as I can remember. In fact I had a paper route with my twin brother from the time I was in 6th grade all the way up until I could get a real job. I was a middle school baller with pockets full of singles!

Well maybe I wasn’t ballin, but I was making my own money. Anyhow my oldest daughter who is 5 years old is starting to learn the value of money herself. We started giving her an allowance so that we could simply get her to clean up around the house. Now she is hooked on finding different ways to make money since she realizes all the neat stuff she can buy with her allowance. If only we could all be happy on a $5 a week budget!

Anyhow like the post says, Being an Entrepreneur is just in the Enke blood. I came out of my office to see this in the driveway today. I have to say it was a proud moment and put a smile on my face. Next thing you know she is going to be asking for her own amex black card.

      This is typical Enke.

I am surprised you didn’t open up a beer stand right next to them.

I thought about it. Considering who my neighbors are, the kids would have made a killing.

LOL That was me when I was small in the 70’s I sold the entire contents of my mums kitchen and the larder to the kids in the street - for pennies, toys … anything

Geez my mother was furious - and had to go round the whole street giving back the stuff i’d traded and asking for our months food back … man now I realise how embarrassing that must have been

at the time I thought I was a damn genius … thank God I didnt try to sell my Dads workshop tools otherwise I dont think I’d have ever known what pocket money was or be able to sit down for a month

Your kids stall looks at bit more bling than my two buckets and plank … cheers scrawnybob

      And are they ballin’? ;)

$5 allowance per week and a couple multiple stream of income (Lemonade stand, washing dads car, etc…… My 5 year old is ballin out of control as as far as she knows.

If only we could all get as excited making $5 a week.
