My wife, now that I can deal with. But when a kid tells you that, it makes you think. I cherish every second I get to spend with my girls. My work is my hobby and vice versa. Being in information technology and it being a passion can really suck you in. 2 years ago I was behind an the much needed, albeit sometimes overvalued, certifications. So I went at it for a year. At some point my son, when my wife took the kids for a day out so that I could study in quiet, he asked 'does daddy have to study again?'. Makes you pause, doesn't it? I'm on a schedule now where I can breath a bit more and the time I spend with the kids, they have my undivided attention. I know a bit how you feel. My work is my hobby and vice versa.
