Welcome to another edition of the Monday Morning Motivational message. Today I am going to write about something that I have great belief in. The topic of the day is “purpose”. The dictionary describes purpose as something set up as an object or end to be attained. Whether it is in business or general life, you have to have purpose in order have long term direction.

Working in the online gambling industry can make finding your life’s purpose somewhat difficult. I mean, it’s not like we’re all teachers, doctors, or nurse’s here. At the same time though, we are also not drug dealers, child molesters, or porn peddlers. We are simply internet marketers and entrepreneurs whom make an income marketing within the online gaming industry. I am enjoying writing this post because it has given me the opportunity to re-examine my purpose, where I have been, where I am at, and where I am going.

Jeremy’s Purpose:

1. Family & Personal - Every day I walk on this earth, I want to be able to say that I’m best father and husband I can be. Although my daughters are still young, I want them to always grow up in a great home. I want them to feel loved and realize that they too can do anything in the world they put their mind to. I want my wife to always trust me and realize that EVERYTHING I do is for her and our children.

After working in in Fire/EMS for almost 10 years, I realized that life can be pretty damn short. Trust me, there’s no guaruntees you’re not gonna get fuct with an “early checkout”. With that, enjoy the things in this world that REALLY count. To me this is my family, and nothing will ever come before them.

I didn’t have this purpose before kids, however I guess it would have been difficult as you don’t realize what an impact and life changing experience being a parent is. If I could sum up my purpose into one sentence it would be this; To be a great husband and father while providing the best life in the world for my family.

2. Business & Career - This is one of the more difficult things to find purpose in. Once again, we work in online gaming. However over the past few years I have been able to narrow down my purpose (although not completely there yet). Ever since PartyRiches, I have been blessed and fortunate to hold a unique position in the industry. I feel my purpose in business is to help others succeed and realize their own potential. Likewise I want to make the overall poker affiliate industry a better place month after month for everyone.

Of course I am driven by making money, and lots of it. But this is so I can do all the things I want to do above in #1. Having a purpose of solely making money could actually lead to a pretty miserable life.

In summary, I think it’s impossible to achieve great success unless you have a general idea what your purpose in life and business is. I challenge everyone to think about what their purpose in life is. Surely it’s not collecting CPA’s or MGR for sending players to poker sites each month.

Once you have determined your life’s purpose, I believe your purpose in business will fall into place much easier.
