I suppose an “About Me” page is where you would expect to read a third person professional write up on myself. Hmmm…. well that’s not really my style, so I’ll just go ahead and tell you “about me” in my own words. 
R.I.P. BlogRush and Text Link Ads

I have made the decision to remove blogrush as well as Text Link Ads from this blog. Blogrush was a great idea when it first came out and one that became extrmely viral throughout the blogosphere. But in the end it proved to add no value or traffic whatsoever. It’s a cool looking widget, but such a waste of sidebar real estate.
As for Text Link Ads, I got a check in the mail today for $25 and was somewhat embarrassed when I thought about it. The links all looked like shit on TLA and most had nothing to do with affiliate businesses. The purpose of this blog has never been to make money or drive tons of massive traffic…….well not directly from this blog at least. The text link ads was more of just an experiment to see who would purchase the ads.
With Blogrush though, if I did have a blog that I was trying to make money on, I would never waste that much space. The traffic was so little and the links in my widget were rubbish. I guess it was a nice idea and generated massive incoming links for blogrush. But for most other bloggers, I doubt this sexy new tool is creating even a bit of value.
I can’t disclose per the T&C’s what I make on Adsense in this blog, but I will probably take that down too as it doesn’t even cover a cup of Starbucks each day. Most of the readers here all affiliates and we all have banner blindness. I’d rather just have fun and throw up some banners or links of my friends. Which reminds me, I told Shenaz if she sent me one of those pimp Cake Poker jackets that I would put up a Cake Poker banner. I mean, even if it looks bad I would rather put up a PokerStars Bloggers banner with off centered text. At least this gets me a free seat into the World Championship of Bloggers.
And whoever the 2 people are who clicked the SEO Elite banner and bought…….I don’t like you. Now I feel obligated to keep it up. Next time, replace my clickbank hoplink with your own………buy that shit at half price

Oh yea, Jason (A.K.A.) GoodKarmaKid just put up a new blog. I owe him a link as he told me about the kick ass PDA wordpress plugin. Poker bloggers, blogroll him. It should be a great blog to read. Also Justi’s blog always motivates me. Get Motivated.

I am thinking about taking that blogrush thing down too. Like you, I ran my experiment and saw 0 value from it. No more free advertising on my site
As for the adsense, I agree, I think those should go. It is getting a little cluttered with ads, and realistically, its prob. not going to make you that much.
