Wrapping Up In Barcelona
October 7th, 2007 by Jeremy EnkeWell it’s Sunday night here and we just got back from the Barcelona soccer game. What an awesome time that was! I have never been to a soccer game and this was quite an experience. Big thanks to Nick for hooking us up with the tickets.
Overall the trip has been a success. I made several business deals that will hopefully benefit all the members of PAW. There are so many great stories from the trip that I will have to share in another post when I get home. It was great catching up with old friends in the industry.
Although Barcelona is nice, I doubt I would ever come back here just for pleasure. Unfortunately a lot of shady stuff happened to a few people from the conference while in town. Likewise my partner Gareth got $7k straight jacked from his room. After that Brandon and I decided to not let the maids in anymore. This place looks like a college dorm, what a mess.
Last night we went to a Cabaret with myself, Satya, Nick, Ryan, Bob, and Brandon. Definitely not Amsterdam, but it was interesting nonetheless. We have been up every night until around 5:00 AM. I am so spent, I think I am going to sleep for 24 hours when I get home. My flight leaves at 6:00 AM so hopefully if I don’t sleep tonight I can sleep on the plane.
I have many things to share from the conference but I am pretty exhausted right now. Later

I suppose an “About Me” page is where you would expect to read a third person professional write up on myself. Hmmm…. well that’s not really my style, so I’ll just go ahead and tell you “about me” in my own words.

Looking forward to read more about the trip. Hope to get to a conference like that sometime.

It´s too bad that most people didn´t have good experiences with the city. I guess it´s because I stayed in the city, instead of at the con hotel, but I found the city to be amazing. I never had a problem with theft or violence, even though I put myself in a few situations where both seemed likely
It was great to meet everyone from PAW and I will be sure to attend another event soon
