Well I am officially on my way to CAP Euro as I write this.  I am blazing down the expressway in my private limo enroute to board my Learjet riding on a bus about to fly 13 hours in miserable coach.  Actually I may upgrade to business class when I get there, providing there’s some seats left.  I should of ran with the online porn sites back in 2000……. A limo and Learjet may have not been far fetched by now!

Speaking of porn, j/k, last night was mine and my wife’s 8 year anniversary.  To celebrate, I took her to one of our favorite restaurants in Chicago, Maggiano’s.  It was supposed to be a surprise, but my sister blew it when she asked my wife yesterday morning if she was looking forward to Maggiano’s.  Note to self, when planning a surprise, make sure to tell others it is supposed to be a surprise.  Nonetheless we had a great dinner and enjoyed some quality time together without the kids.  Quite frankly I don’t think I would be where I am at today without having such a kick ass supportive wife.

Through all the highs and lows of being an entrepreneur, my wife has always supported me and trusted my decisions.  I am really one of the luckiest guys in the world to have married such a wonderful person.  Plus after 8 years, she can still put up with all my shenanigans and silliness.  That in itself is a feat.

I am hoping the trip to CAP Euro will be a prosperous one.  I have a few meetings with rooms I am eager to bring on to the PAW Network.  Mainly, CakePoker.com, and a couple others.  So Shenaz, if you’re reading this…..hook a brotha up!!  I would also love to see Everest join our network in some fashion, but I seem to be at a standstill with them.

Hopefully my partners Gareth and Cory-Ann who will also be in Barcelona can make some magic happen.  Gaz is usually good for negotiating at least one killer deal at these things.  Make it so Gazman!

Unlike the past few conventions I have been too, I am actually going to try to attend as many of the discussion sessions as possible.  This industry seems to be changing quite a bit lately, and I think it will be beneficial to listen to what is going through the minds of all the other affiliates and thought leaders.

I am still hoping to get Alex Pratt drunk and find a way into the ASOP.  Obviously I will be a favorite if I get in…..(a favorite to get knocked out first).  Actually Greg Powell now works for the boys over at CAP, so maybe I’ll just blackmail him by taking a few pictures of his adventures the night prior. Then I’ll just have them on queue and ready to send to his wife.

A quick shout out to Nick from CardsChat!!!  Nick you are the MAN.  Nick managed to get us tickets to the Barcelona soccer game on Sunday.  I have never been to a professional soccer game or stadium, so this should be quite fun.  I hear it gets absolutely nuts at these games.  Plus if I am going to miss the Bear-Packer game, I can’t think of a better place to be.

I will try to take a few pictures each day as well as make a blog post about the days events.  Normally I bring a camera but am too lazy to take it with me everywhere.  Likewise I am barely on the internet at these events and get buried in emails and PM’s.  I am going to “attempt” to turn over a new leaf and hop on the internet quite a few times each day.  I mean, I am staying with Brandon and that dude is ALWAYS online.  So it really shouldn’t be too difficult.

On a side note, my flight leaves at 4:20 for a connection in Amsterdam……..how fitting.  See you all on the flipside.
